Donnavventura at Villa Cavalletti: Nature, Sustainability, and the Local Area as Portrayed by the Media

Villa Cavalletti hosted the stars of “TV Raider – The Stories of Donnavventura, the Rai Due program dedicated to exploring Italy.

During their stay in the Castelli Romani, the girls explored Villa Cavalletti on an e-bike tour through the estate’s historic vineyards and centuries-old olive groves. The tour took them through the places where the estate’s wines and extra-virgin olive oil are produced—products that are featured in the tastings and reflect the estate’s agricultural identity.

The protagonists also worked alongside the young chefs from the Maffeo Pantaleoni Hotel Management School. Together with Professor Nunziata, they reinterpreted several traditional local dishes, combining education, cooking, and local produce. Traditional music from the Castelli Romani and the newly restored historic Villa Cavalletti rounded out the experience.

Donnavventura presented Villa Cavalletti as part of an initiative dedicated to environmental sustainability, agriculture, and the promotion of local culture: a place to experience through its landscape, hospitality, and the estate’s activities.

The Monumental Park also served as the setting for“Io, plastica,an environmental short film produced by Walk of Frame and directed by Gualtiero Serafini. The project, supported by the Lazio Region, was created to promote environmental conservation and raise environmental awareness.

Published on RaiPlay, the short film was selected for Rai’s Tulipani di Seta Nera International Film Festival from among sixty-six works chosen out of four hundred submissions. Villa Cavalletti thus became the setting for a message dedicated to environmental responsibility.

The estate was also featured in “Ambassador,” a program broadcast by ALMA TV and sponsored by the Lazio Region’s Department of Tourism. The episode dedicated to Frascati, Grottaferrata, and Monte Porzio Catone highlighted local history and traditions, showcasing Villa Cavalletti and its connection to winemaking.

In addition to these stories, the national and international press has provided in-depth coverage of the Castelli Romani’s food and wine scene, the work of the winemakers in Grottaferrata, and the role of agriculture in promoting the region.

Donnavventura, “Io, plastica,” ALMA TV, and the press have described Villa Cavalletti as a place where nature, culture, hospitality, and agriculture come together.
