Foreword
Following the relocation of the Catholic Integration Community in 2014 to Rome, the complex is undergoing a gradual process of sustainable and environmentally friendly regeneration by a private group, with the aim of protecting its precious beauty and at the same time restoring its former splendor in harmony with its lofty, prestigious and significant international history.
For the rebirth of such an important site in terms of historical, cultural and scenic value, we proceeded according to the dimensions of social, environmental and economic sustainability, thoroughly studying the historical uses and updating them to maintain a continuum of meaning, exclusively applying the dictates of green building regeneration and weaving relationships and synergies with the area to enhance it.

the slow tourism
Villa Cavalletti proposes its interpretation of slow tourism with an experience between nature and culture, in harmony with the environment, it has been chosen over the years to invest in renewable energy, artisanal products, zero km, favoring the principle of circularity in recovery and recycling. A new concept of conscious reception aimed at reducing the environmental impact as much as possible.
regeneration
The entire Academy building has been renovated in green building with NZEB protocol and is powered by renewable sources. Our accommodations are finished with Ecolabel-certified materials, a sign of ecological quality, and are free of toxic or allergenic substances. The historic buildings present, on the other hand, have undergone conservative restoration implemented with traditional methods.
the awards
Villa Cavalletti was awarded in the Electric Friendly section by Guide to Hotels and Restaurants of Italy 2024, compiled by eV-Now! and published by Touring Club Italiano. With the Castelli Romani Park, she is an ambassador in the European project of International Cooperation Oenomed dedicated to sustainable agriculture. A further element of excellence is recognition as a Slow Food Presidium for the estate’s centuries-old olive grove.

All our rooms are finished with materials with Ecolabel certification, a sign of ecological quality and are free of toxic or allergenic substances. Daily cleaning is done with natural products, vegan ok, made in Italy, the courtesy set based on extra virgin olive oil is zero km, produced in our estate. We provide customers with e-mountain bikes for a “slow” mobility.

Our facility is Electric Friendly certified, providing guests with a convenient charging station for e-bikes and electric/hybrid cars, which can be used via app available for both Android and iOS devices.
