Music, Entertainment, and Social Engagement at Villa Cavalletti

Music, entertainment, and a focus on the younger generations are at the heart of some of the initiatives documented in the historical archive of Villa Cavalletti. Different experiences, united by a desire to create opportunities for connection and participation.

From July 25 to 31, 2022, Traiano Park hosted the seventh edition of the Je So Pazzo Music Festival, a singing competition organized by Dreaming the Future. Artists from various regions of Italy and abroad competed in the Baby, Junior, Teen, Rap, Youth, Band, Over, and Original Songs categories.

In addition to the winners in the various categories, special awards were presented for acting, screenwriting, film criticism, print media, and social media communication. The program was enriched by the participation of singers, dancers, actors, influencers, and comedians, transforming the festival into a week dedicated to new talent and entertainment.

That same year, the grounds of Villa Cavalletti became the setting for the project “Music & Wine: The Right Mix to Start Over.” The program combined concerts conducted by Maestro Lanzillotta with tastings of the estate’s organic products, including wines, extra virgin olive oil, and desserts.

The opening concert, held on January 30 in the Auditorium of Villa Cavalletti, featuredthe Roma Sinfonietta Orchestra. Music and food and wine have come together to create an experience that showcases the Villa’s spaces and the finest offerings of the Castelli Romani.

This focus on people and the community was also reflected in “Riprendiamo il Volo,” a project launched on February 11, 2022, dedicated to supporting adolescents and preventing mental health issues among them.

The meeting addressed the issue of young people’s psychological well-being in light of the pandemic’s effects, bringing together representatives from various institutions, university professors, psychotherapists, and experts in child and adolescent neuropsychiatry.

The workshop “Giving Boys and Girls a Voice and a Place” allowed participants to share their experiences and reflections. Students from the Maffeo Pantaleoni Hotel Management School handled the reception and service for the closing aperitif-lunch.

Music, entertainment, and social engagement thus become three aspects of a single vision: opening Villa Cavalletti to the local community and offering opportunities for growth, connection, and sharing.
