Villa Cavalletti at the Rome PGI Oil Festival Rome

On the occasion of Christmas in Rome, the Rome PGI Oil Festival was born, a widespread program of “oil patch” events involving the entire city with tastings, talks, showcooking, educational workshops, master classes and guided tours. The initiative interweaves the culture of extra virgin olive oil with the millennial history of the capital, recalling the symbolic origins of April 21 and the ancient agricultural celebrations of the Palilia. Promoted by the Consorzio Olio di Roma IGP, the Festival is configured as a cultural and educational platform capable of enhancing territory, traditions and production chain, educating on quality and sustainability. To close, the L’Eterno Award celebrates personalities and realities that spread the identity of oil and Roman culture in the world.
