Electric mobility, experiential tourism, and collaboration among industry stakeholders are the central elements of the eV-CastelliRomani! 2021 project, which was presented on September 24 at the Park Hotel Villa Grazioli.
The project was born out of a collaboration between the Associazione Ospitalità Castelli Romani and eV-Now!, a private organization dedicated to the research, development, and promotion of electric mobility. The goal is to promote eco-friendly and environmentally responsible tourism in the Castelli Romani region.
eV-CastelliRomani! offers sustainability guidelines for accommodations and visitors, so that their stay can unfold in harmony with nature and the local areas that welcome tourists.
Many establishments that are members of the Castelli Romani Hospitality Association have installed charging stations for two- and four-wheeled electric vehicles, making them available to guests free of charge. A network of services designed to encourage more environmentally friendly modes of travel and make electric mobility more accessible.
One of the goals outlined by Francesco Ceribelli, president of the Castelli Romani Hospitality Association, is the creation of a Green Community in the Castelli Romani. A system open to collaboration among lodging facilities, businesses, associations, and local organizations.
The project also promotes a form of slow, experiential tourism that allows visitors to experience the Castelli Romani through nature, art, history, and locally sourced food and wine.
From this perspective, travel is not just about reaching a destination, but about experiencing it mindfully: by using sustainable transportation options, respecting biodiversity, and choosing experiences tied to local culture and products.
