OIL PATH.

The olive tree and its fruits: a resource of Mediterranean culture

Edited by Samuela Di Schiavi

The itinerary offers a walk through the splendid Villa Cavalletti to discover the olive tree and its fruits, a fundamental resource of Mediterranean culture. Since time immemorial, this plant and its derivatives have lent themselves to a multiplicity of uses: from its fertilizing action in agriculture to its emollient action in cosmetics, to its various uses in gastronomy. Starting with the description of the majestic gardens of the Tuscolan Villas by foreign travelers, the itinerary will allow participants to learn about the different uses of oil and olives and how it is represented in literature, as well as discover what tools are used and the processes that lead to the creation of a product as delicious as it is essential to the Mediterranean diet.

We would like to remind you that our Panorama Terrace awaits you from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with cafeteria services, breakfasts, tastings and aperitifs.
