Villa Cavalletti Olive Oil Museum – October 10 and 11

Olive Oil Museum — Frantoio al Villino Rosso
October 10 and 11, 2026 | 11:00 a.m.
Villa Cavalletti — Olive Oil Museum
Guided Tour | Reservations Required
Two events to explore the history of olive oil and the heritage of the oil mill at Villino Rosso. On Saturday, October 10, and Sunday, October 11, at 12:00 p.m., the Villa Cavalletti Olive Oil Museum will welcome visitors with a guided tour featuring machinery, tools, and artifacts related to olive oil culture.
The tour will be an opportunity to learn about the different stages of olive processing and to get a close-up look at the equipment used to turn them into oil. The grinding mills, pressing systems, and materials on display illustrate the relationship between human labor and raw materials, showing how knowledge and techniques have shaped production over time.
At Villino Rosso, the history of the oil mill is intertwined with that of the estate and the agricultural landscape of the Castelli Romani. The museum invites visitors to explore extra virgin olive oil through the processes that precede the bottling: cultivation, harvesting, processing, and the practices that preserve a tradition.
An experience open to anyone who wants to delve deeper into this world or explore olive oil culture for the first time, rediscovering the value of an everyday product through its production process.
On Saturday, October 10,“Pecorino & Olio et Amo — A Gathering at the Castles”will also take place—a tasting lunch on the terrace of Villa Cavalletti, led by ONAF tasters. A separate reservation is required to attend the lunch.
